The award is to encourage and recognize outstanding performance in education, with special emphasis on motivating students to reach their highest potential. Nominations for the award are open to active and certified teachers, administrators, counselors and coaches in public and religious schools offering K-12 classes.

Our largest annual celebration, held the last weekend of September, features a weekend of activities for the whole family. Enjoy a craft fair, entertainment in Norris Park and the Heritage Day’s Parade.

This event is co-sponsored with the McCook Gazette. The annual parade encourages participants to trick or treat through downtown McCook while Halloween bags are given out.
